The Embossing Roller is a critical forming component in the SPC flooring online lamination process. Positioned after the wear layer and decorative film are thermally bonded – while the sheet has not yet fully cooled – the embossing roller applies high-pressure pressing to impart permanent three-dimensional textures onto the flooring surface.
Working Principle
The EIR (Embossed in Register) embossing roller is engraved with registration mark lines that correspond to the mark lines on the decorative film. During production, an infrared scanning and positioning system reads these marks in real time and guides the embossing roller to achieve precise alignment. The result? Every knot, grain, and pore you see is exactly where you can feel it.
