Oxidized Polyethylene Wax-OPE

Description

Oxidized polyethylene wax is a polar reaction product resin produced by mild air oxidation of polyethylene so that it produces a minimum average

molecular weight of 1,200 as determined by high-temperature vapor pressure osmometry.  It contains no more than 5% total oxygen by weight and

has an acid value of 9-19.

Characteristics of OPE

Oxidized polyethylene wax has low viscosity, high softening point, hardness, good special performance, such as non-toxicity,good thermal stability,

high temperature and low volatility, good dispersibility, both the excellent external lubrication, also has powerful internal lubrication, the coupling

effect, can improve the production of plastic processing efficiency, reduce the production cost, and the polyolefin resin has good compatibility,

temperature moisture performance is good, strong chemical resistance, good performance, can improve the look of the finished product.

Application of OPE

1 Oxidized Polyethylene Wax(OPE) is widely used in the processing of packing materials and thermo shrink film as an external lubricant.

2 Oxidized Polyethylene Wax(OPE) is used as processing auxiliaries for PVC shapes, pipes and plates to increase the surface smoothness of the processed

products with an amount of 0.3-0.5%. Oxidized Polyethylene Wax(OPE) can increase the demoulding property effectively and reduce mould-cleaning time

significantly in processing plastic products.

3 Oxidized Polyethylene Wax(OPE) can be also used as a new-type lubricating agent with excellent performance for plastics of PVC and polyolefin, etc.

4 Oxidized Polyethylene Wax(OPE) raises lubrication between plastics and metals, improves the dispersion of coloring agents and provides products with nice

transparency and brightness.

5 Oxidized Polyethylene Wax(OPE) can be used as softening and anti-puncturing agents for textiles.

Oxidized Polyethylene Wax(OPE) is also widely used in car wax and leather auxiliaries.
