01 What is stone plastic floor
Stone plastic floor is also known as stone plastic floor tile, the regular name should be “PVC sheet floor”, the main raw materials for PVC resin (often used in the production of medical equipment, such as infusion tubes) and calcium carbonate, is a high quality, high-tech new floor decoration material.
But this name is easy to cause people’s misunderstanding, when it comes to PVC, people think more about plastic. Many people will confuse stone plastic floor with PVC pipe. Plastic contains toxic substances and is harmful to human body.
But stone plastic floor and plastic are not originally a category, PVC can also be called polyvinyl chloride, stone plastic floor does not contain formaldehyde, benzene such toxic substances, will not cause harm to the human body.

02 Classification of stone plastic floor
Generally according to the structure, it can be divided into three types: homogenous core sheet, multilayer composite sheet and semi-homogenous core sheet.
02-1 Classification by structure
(1) homogeneous transcore sheet
Top and bottom homogenous permeable, that is, from the surface to the bottom, from top to bottom, are the same color.

Formed by multi-layer structure superposition, generally including polymer wear-resisting layer (including UV treatment), printing film layer, glass fiber layer, base layer and so on.

(3) semi-homogenous transcore sheet
An anti-fouling layer is added to the surface of the homogenous transcore sheet to increase its wear resistance and anti-fouling property.

02-2 Classification by category
(1) general PVC floor
Its main components include vinyl chloride powder, stone powder, plasticizer, stabilizer, carbon black, several raw materials are very widely used industrial raw materials, their environmental protection and safety has been verified for many years.

(2) LVT floor
Flexible flexible floor, the professional name is “semi-hard sheet plastic floor” is mainly used for tooling projects, because it has high requirements for the floor, the need for professional laying, so from the cost consideration, usually only suitable for large area laying. For rental houses or offices where flatness is not required, this flooring is both good-looking and affordable.
(3) SPC floor
Stone Plactic Composite, a rigid plastic floor, also bends, but less than LVT floors. Its common name is stone crystal floor, Hong Kong and Taiwan area is called stone plastic floor, or plastic stone floor, in addition to Europe and the United States, Southeast Asia is one of the most use of SPC floor area.

03 stone plastic floor construction technology
The construction of stone plastic floor is not so difficult as people imagine, the construction of sheet is easier, but we still need to ensure the quality of construction, because if the construction quality cannot be guaranteed, it will seriously affect the service life of stone plastic floor.
03-1 Floor test
Before construction, use the temperature hygrometer to detect the temperature and humidity, water content tester to detect the water content of the base, hardness tester to detect the surface hardness of the base and so on to meet the construction requirements.

And confirm whether the strength and flatness of the base meet the basic requirements, and consider whether it is necessary to use appropriate self-leveling to level the ground or increase the strength of the base.

03-2 floor pretreatment
Use the floor grinder to polish the floor as a whole, remove paint, glue and other residues, raised and loose plots, plots with empty drums must also be removed. Then the floor is vacuumed with an industrial vacuum cleaner.

If there are cracks on the floor, it can be repaired with stainless steel reinforcement and quartz sand on the surface of polyurethane waterproof adhesive.

03-3 Laying of self-leveling
If the strength and flatness of the base do not meet the basic requirements in the early floor test, it is necessary to use appropriate self-leveling to level the ground or increase the strength of the base. Specific practices are as follows:
(1) Lay the foundation
First of all, to determine the type of the base, and then according to the type of the base of the corresponding base process. There are two types of general base: absorptive base and non-absorptive base.
① Absorptive base
Absorptive base, such as concrete and cement mortar screed, should first use multi-purpose interface treatment agent diluted with water at a ratio of 1:1, and then seal the bottom.
② non-absorptive base
Non-absorptive base such as ceramic tile, terrazzo, marble, etc., it is recommended to use dense interface primer.
Construction of interface treatment agent should be uniform, no obvious liquid accumulation. After the surface of the interface treatment agent is air-dried, the next step of self-leveling can be carried out.

(2) Stir
Pour the material into the mixing bucket containing clean water according to the specified water-cement ratio, and use a special mixer to stir while pouring. Stir until you have a smooth, lump-free slurry. Leave to mature for about 3 minutes, stirring again briefly.
(3) Laying
Pour the stirred self-leveling slurry onto the construction floor, flow and level the ground by itself, and roll gently on the self-leveling surface with a special self-flowing flatten air roller to avoid bubble pockmarked surface and interface height difference. After the construction is completed, the site is closed and waiting for the stone plastic floor to be laid.
03-4 The laying of stone plastic floor
The floor should be placed on the site for more than 24h to make its temperature consistent with that of the construction site. When the block is laid, there should be no joint between the two materials, and the corresponding glue and scraping board suitable for the stone plastic floor should be selected.
